Understand Roulette before you play
Roulette is chips on a layout before the ball settles. Compare European and American wheels, outside versus inside bets, and set 21+ limits before you spin.

What roulette is on a PH-facing lobby
Roulette is a wheel-and-layout game. You place chips on numbers, colours, or groups before the ball settles in a pocket. Online Filipino lobbies usually offer European (single zero), American (zero and double zero), and live-dealer versions of both. The layout looks busy, but every chip position maps to a published payout and coverage.
European versus American wheels
European wheels use pockets zero through thirty-six: thirty-seven pockets total. American wheels add double zero for thirty-eight pockets. That extra pocket raises the house edge on almost every bet. If both seats are offered, prefer the single-zero wheel unless you have a specific reason to play the American layout.
| Variant | Zeros | Typical even-money house edge | Beginner note |
|---|---|---|---|
| European | 0 only | About 2.7% | Default choice when available |
| American | 0 and 00 | About 5.26% | Avoid if a single-zero seat exists |
| French / special | Usually 0 | Can be lower with la partage | Read the zero-loss rule text |
Outside bets, inside bets, and payouts
Outside bets sit on the edge of the layout: red or black, odd or even, low one-to-eighteen or high nineteen-to-thirty-six (even money), plus dozens and columns at two-to-one. Inside bets sit on the number grid: straight-up thirty-five-to-one, splits, streets, corners, and six-lines at lower payouts as coverage grows.
| Bet family | Example | Typical payout |
|---|---|---|
| Even money | Red / Black | 1:1 |
| Dozen / column | 1st dozen | 2:1 |
| Straight-up | Single number | 35:1 |
| Split | Two adjoining numbers | 17:1 |
| Corner | Four numbers | 8:1 |
| Six-line | Two streets | 5:1 |
Some live tables also expose a racetrack for neighbours-of-zero style calls. Those are chip combinations, not magic edges. Learn outside bets first if you are new.
One spin from chip to settle
- Choose chip denomination inside the table limits.
- Place chips on outside and/or inside positions before the clock ends.
- Wait for “no more bets”; do not drag chips after the lock.
- Watch the ball settle; the UI highlights winning positions.
- Confirm the credit change, then decide whether another spin fits your cap.
RNG seats let you start the spin yourself. Live seats follow a dealer cadence. Either way, a progression system does not remove the house edge: it only changes how fast the bankroll moves.
Mistakes Filipino beginners make
- Playing American double-zero without noticing the extra pocket.
- Covering almost the whole wheel and celebrating a small win that does not cover the other chips.
- Raising chip size after a cold streak because a number is “due.”
- Ignoring table minimums until five spins empty a modest deposit.
- Leaving a dispute to a random messenger instead of the cashier history.
Availability of any roulette seat can differ by date, device, and location.
