GameZone limits and responsible play

Mas madaling mag-set ng limit bago maglaro kaysa pagkatapos matalo. GameZone accounts usually offer deposit limits, session reminders, cool-off and self-exclusion. This page shows where to find them, how to pick numbers you will keep, and where to get free help 24/7 at (02) 8248-9568.

The tools and what each does

ToolWhat it limitsWatch out for
Deposit limitNew money in per day, week or monthRaising it may require a wait
Session reminder or reality checkTime awareness, sometimes with spend shownEasy to dismiss forever
Session time limitHow long you can play in one goSet it before you start, not mid-session
Cool-offA short break from accessNot the same as self-exclusion
Self-exclusionA stronger block, temporary or longerPlan bills before you request it

Where to find them

  1. Log into the official GameZone app or site.
  2. Open Account, Profile, Safety or Responsible Gaming.
  3. Look for Deposit limit, Session reminder, Reality check, Time limit, Cool-off or Self-exclusion.
  4. Note whether a decrease applies now and an increase waits.
  5. Screenshot the confirmation privately for your own records.

Some builds handle certain tools through a support request instead of a slider. If you can’t find a control, ask the in-app chat, not a Facebook comment thread.

Lowering is quick, raising waits

ActionTypical behaviourGood habit
Lower a deposit limitApplies quicklyDo it when you feel calm
Raise a deposit limitMay wait through a cool-offDecide in the morning, never right after a loss
Session reminderEasy to switch offSet it under two hours and keep the sound on

Self-exclusionStronger restrictionRequest through official channels only

Pick limits you will actually keep

  • Decide a monthly entertainment amount in pesos before you open the cashier, money you can lose without missing a bill.
  • Sweldo week is when limits get raised “just once”. Write the number on paper first, and give any raise 24 to 72 hours of thought.
  • If household bills share a GCash or Maya balance, a deposit limit is how rent money stays offline.
  • Add a second layer in the e-wallet: GCash and Maya let you watch spending in their own apps, and some banks let you cap transfers to merchants.
  • Playing on more than one brand? Set one combined weekly budget, not separate ones. Limits set in one app don’t apply in another.
  • Track deposits minus withdrawals each month; the monthly record shows a simple layout.

A session timer that works

Live tables and slots erase the clock. Reminder intervals such as 30, 60 or 90 minutes are common. Pick one you will obey, not a heroic two hours you will swipe away.

When it firesHealthy responseRisky response
Reminder pops upStand up, drink water, check your peso ceilingSwipe it away and raise the stake
Late-night playShorter interval and an earlier hard stopNo timer until sunrise
No in-app timerPhone alarm set before you open the appRely on “feeling tired”

If you catch yourself switching the reminder off after every ping, that is useful information. Set a shorter interval the next morning.

Late-night play

  • Decide the night’s budget in daylight and keep it fixed once you start.
  • Before funding late, check you can say the peso cap out loud. If not, you are too tired to deposit.
  • Hide OTP previews on the lock screen if you share a room.
  • Use Do Not Disturb or Focus from 10 p.m. so promo alerts don’t start an unplanned session.
  • The morning after, check your e-wallet history before opening the game. A 1 a.m. pending deposit should never become a 7 a.m. double payment.

Signs it is time for a stronger tool

  • You top up past your plan, or deposit again within an hour of a loss.
  • You hide play from people who share your budget.
  • You feel angry or flat after sessions, or chase losses to “make it back”.
  • You keep raising limits or switching off reminders.
  • You have opened accounts on several brands to keep playing.

If any of these fit, set a lower deposit limit now and consider a cool-off. Not being able to stop at a limit is useful information, not a personal failing.

Cool-off and self-exclusion

Cool-off is a short pause. Self-exclusion is a stronger block that can be temporary or longer. Read the confirmation text before you accept, and expect confirmation steps and possibly a short delay before access changes.

  • Settle pending withdrawals and bills before you request it.
  • Don’t open another account to get around a restriction you asked for. It can breach the terms and defeats the protection.
  • A restricted balance after a cool-off is the tool working, not a bug. See frozen balance.

Free help outside the app

The National Problem Gambling Helpline, launched by PAGCOR with Seagulls Flock Organization in May 2026, answers 24/7 at (02) 8248-9568. It is free and confidential.

For a mental-health crisis, the NCMH crisis line is 1553. More options are on the responsible gaming page.

When to stop tonight

  • Your peso cap or your time limit is reached, win or lose.
  • You are tired, angry or drinking.
  • You are about to use money meant for food, rent, tuition or debt.
  • Two deposits in a row went to “getting back” a loss.
